Wonderful friendly staff, always takes amazing care of my girls!
We had a sad situation on Sunday our diabetic cat has been dealing with a nasal tumor for the past 2 months, he became extremely ill, so we knew it his time. Our vet hasn't any Sunday hours, so we took s chance and called Ban field at 4:30, they close at 5:00 pm. They told us to come in. They were so kind, gave us as much time with our cat as we needed to say goodbye. Just want to thank them so Sisco didn't need to suffer through the night!! We loved him very much!! He is at peace!!!!!
We took our English bulldog to Banfield when we were unable to get an appoint with our regular vet to fit in our schedules. This was a recurring allergy issue that was previously treated with steroids and antibiotics, more and more each time. To our delight, steroids were not recommended and our once almost hairless bulldog had fur re-growing in days. We were so pleased with the care and concern she received, we have switched from our previous vet entirely. The vet and staff showed care and concern and were extremely knowledgeable.
Seriously, do NOT come here. Our cocker spaniel had a cyst on the side of her neck the size of a tennis ball. It bursted early in the morning. We took her to Banfield and the doctor wasn't much help, all she did was prescribe some anti biotics and pain medicine and she charged us $200. Then we got into discussing the actual removal of the cyst and we were quoted $1100+ we went to St. Francis in North Huntingdon and wow what an amazing vet! They actually treated us very nicely and charged us $400 out the door. Literally 1/3 of the price. Plus they didn't try to upsell us anything. I found out, employees at Banfield actually get paid commission and will insist on selling you over priced garbage that you don't need. For example "Special Dog Peroxide for $20 (Paid for it they forgot to give it to us) went to a rite aid and bought a bottle 3 times the sIze for a dollar. One other thing. My wife took her rabbit here and they prescribed it anti biotics and it killed her rabbit. A quick google search said never give a rabbit anti biotics. Honestly, never go here. I will never ever ever return and if you actually value your pet and your wallet you shouldn't either !!!
Cost wise, her initial treatment was not cheap, but it was inline with the amount we were paying previously.
I brought my mom's dog here a few weeks ago. I was really thankful for all of their help. The doctor and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I really could not be happier with the service we received.
